Hello! My name is Annie Pace and I am very excited to be here in Monte Vista. This will be my 10th year in education and my fourth year teaching Math. I am really looking forward to this school year and working with you and your student to help them achieve their goals and improve their mathematics knowledge and skills.
I was born and raised on the Western Slope of Colorado around Parachute/Rifle area. I graduated from Grand Valley High School in 2000 and then attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies emphasis Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English: Liberal Arts in 2005. I also earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Media emphasis in School Library in December 2010. I have spent my teaching career in the Grand Junction and Rifle area, with one year teaching at a charter school in Albuquerque, NM. My family and I are very excited to be in Monte Vista!
I began my teaching career in Social Studies and English at various levels, but found that I really enjoyed the process, procedures, and logic of mathematics, so I began to pursue a degree in Mathematics Education and plan to be done August of 2020. I have also earned my Mathematics Teaching endorsement during the summer of 2019.
My family and I love to spend time together, so we usually spend time outdoors with our dog, cooking all kinds of dishes (like pasta or curry), watching movies, and playing games. My husband and I are also certified SCUBA divers, so we try to use our breaks to get away and get in the water!
